This shed in St. John's was build right below the client's deck. It was starting to rot away and the homeowner wanted it gone. We demolished it and hauled it to the dump. A tricky job no doubt but it was made easier by the fact that it was not structurally integrated into the deck. The homeowner was happy with the result. And we showed that a handyman is ideal for those small jobs where you don't need a contractor or a carpenter, just a competent trustworthy handyman with the skills to do the job right.

This bathroom remodel in Mount Pearl started as a simple bathtub replacement. But when presented with the oppertunity to make some big changes the homeowner quickly saw the value in an upgrade to the whole room. During the process of demolishing the old tiles we identified some hidden problem areas. There was rot around the wooden window frame as well as a total lack of insulation in the exterior wall. We removed the rot and added in new insulation. Proof again the a handyman can make quick work of small and large jobs alike.

This deck still had some life in it so instead of a total rebuild we extended the life by a few years. We replaced a few rotten spindles and boards then gave it a fresh coat of paint.  I would put this kitchen cupboard modification in the category of odd jobs. It was fun to work on and the homeowner was very happy with the result.

For this job we removed the baseboard for the installation so that we would not have to add quarter-round to cover the gaps. Well worth the effort. The floor looks great and it will be easier to clean and more hypoallergenic.
